A substantial and well-proportioned early-mid 19th century house retaining historic character and some original external features and presence.

Five-bay, two-storey with basement. Later wings and further extensions. Hipped slate roof with box dormers.

Porch at centre, with Doric columns and simple moulded cornice.

Substantial associated farm group (Vermont Farm) to north, with parallel plan form.
